Namulundah Florence is an adjunct Assistant Professor at Brooklyn College, CUNYs School of Education. Her first book, bell hooks engaged pedagogy: Education for critical consciousness, won the 1999 Choice Outstanding Academic Title Award and the AERA Critics Award.
