Through seven episodes, author Emma Goude takes readers on a journey to make sense of psychosis. As a troubled twenty-something, she experienced the harsh landscapes of psychiatric wards before eventually becoming the respected documentary filmmaker she is today. In this personal journey, Goude campaigns for a new perspective on mental health and well-being.

Emma Goude is an international award–winning documentary filmmaker who started out at the BBC. Having had six psychiatric admissions, one of them under a sectioning, she has written My Beautiful Psychosis to change the perception of psychosis as a devastating and stigmatizing illness. She hopes that sharing her story will inspire others, improve attitudes, and ultimately contribute to a better system of care. She is currently living in Buenos Aires, where she is following her passion for dancing tango.
