"My purpose in writing this book is to speak to those people who feel they are spiritual but donít fit into a typical church philosophy. Everyone has a sense of spirituality; some just havenít met it yet. If you are looking for a new way to view life, I invite you to check out Centers for Spiritual Living at CSL.org. I also encourage speakers, ministers, teachers, and others to share these ideas in your own way to inspire other people. To this end, I invite you to explore one lesson each week, by yourself or in a group. I hope you enjoy reading these thoughts on spirituality as much as I enjoyed writing them."

Sandra Lindsey Smith grew up in Indiana, Illinois, and Michigan. When she was nine, her parents moved to California where she lived her teenage years before attending California State University Fullerton. She studied theatre and decided to become a teacher of the craft. Then after 32 years, she retired and discovered a new love and occupation - ministry. For the past eight years, she has been the spiritual leader of The Center for Spiritual Living in Kennewick, Washington. Writing has always been a big interest to Sandra; in fact, her earliest desire of careers was to be a writer and illustrator of children's books. High school years found her writing for Excelsior High's literary magazine, Trial Flights. At each different stage of her career, the thing she has loved most has been writing - brochures, magazine and newspaper articles and eventually this book.
